The most radical left is imposing its discourse on Spanish Television (TVE), including its anti-Semitism, to grotesque extremes.
The government of Pedro Sánchez is the one that controls Televisión Española, a public media outlet that all Spaniards pay for but that the left uses as its own propaganda organ. A left whose hatred of Israel reaches an alarming degree: the Sánchez government has members of a party allied with a Palestinian terrorist group and that has received praise from Hamas for his hostility against Israel. Yesterday TVE began to speculate about the alliance between the US and Israel and attributed it to the "Jewish lobby", among other explanations given by TVE's correspondent in Washington DC, Cristina Olea.

Curiously, TVE omitted the most obvious reasons for the alliance between the US and Israel: both countries are democracies and both have been suffering for many years from the blows of Islamist terrorism. Coincidentally, Olea already raised the same question in November and limited himself to asking Joel Beinin, a leftist Stanford professor known for his criticism of Israel. He didn't ask anyone else: apparently, the opinion of a leftist is enough on TVE to settle any debate.
As you can see, what Beinin said in November and what Olea repeated yesterday is practically the same, with one difference: Beinin spoke of "Zionist lobby", because as he himself has pointed out, there are many Jews in the US who are anti-Zionists. Olea changes that and is now "Jewish lobby", an expression with which he simply settles, and based on the dogmas of the left, the traditional friendship between those two democracies.
Turning around TVE's anti-Semitic conspiracism, should we attribute the Spanish left's sympathy for Palestinian terrorism to an "Islamic lobby"? How many accusations of "Islamophobia" would we hear if someone on TVE dared to suggest something like that?
In the same way, why has TVE never talked about the "communist lobby" that pushes the Spanish left to have friendly relations with dictatorships like Cuba, Venezuela or China? Apparently, in this matter the lobbies, TVE only sees Jews. At this rate, how long will it take before we hear on TVE the nonsense of anti-Semitic pamphlets like "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"?
