La extrema izquierda española ha desatado una caza de brujas a raíz del caso Errejón, acusado de supuestos abusos contra mujeres.
In relation to this case, about which at the moment there is only one complaint filed with the Police (with an account of the events about which there is much to say), the extreme left seems determined to point out and defenestrate those who remained silent in the face of alleged abuses in private, imitating incriminating processes that are difficult to fit into a democracy. Curiously, the same extreme left has remained silent in the face of abuses of women that were spread throughout the world, a silence for which no one has resigned and for which no one has asked for resignations within the extreme left.
The vile attitude of the far left towards the Nineveh genocide
Two months ago I already spoke here about the vile attitude of the Spanish ultra-left towards the genocide of Christians and Yazidis in Nineveh by the Islamists of ISIS, a genocide that included all kinds of atrocities against these Christian minorities in Iraq, including the rapes of Yazidi women and girls (even those as young as 7 and 8 years old) by the terrorists, who also kidnapped many of them to use them as sexual slaves. A girl kidnapped by ISIS was then released a few weeks ago by the Israeli Army in Gaza, where she remained as a slave of a Hamas leader.
Let us remember that in October 2014, the extreme left voted against sending Spanish soldiers to Iraq to train the Iraqi Army to combat ISIS terrorists. Izquierda Unida, Compromís and the BNG rejected the measure. Two years later, in December 2016, when the European Parliament described ISIS crimes against Christians and Yazidis in Iraq as genocide (with a resolution that mentioned Yazidi women kidnapped as sex slaves), The far left did not support the resolution.
The complicity of the extreme left with Putin's Russia
Likewise, since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the invaders have committed all kinds of atrocities against the Ukrainian civilian population, including rapes of women between the ages of 19 and 83 by the Russians. As in the case of ISIS, the far left has criticized aid to those attacked. A few days after the invasion began, the communist partners of Sánchez's government (Podemos) criticized the sending of military aid to Ukraine, stating that "it is a mistake." Let us remember that in 2014, the pro-government Russian newspaper Pravda had described Podemos as a "pro-Russian party". Likewise, during the previous European legislature, both Podemos and the communists of Izquierda Unida were the Spanish parties that most favoured Russia in Brussels.
In March 2022, when the European Parliament condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, four far-left Spanish MEPs voted against the resolution, among them the communist Sira Rego, the current Minister of Youth and Children in Pedro Sánchez's government. In November 2022, when the European Parliament passed a resolution accusing Russia of terrorism, the far-left did not support the text either. The far-left responded to the atrocities committed by the Russians against Ukrainian women with the same indifference it had already shown towards Christian and Yazidi women in Iraq.
The miserable response of the far-left to the Hamas attack on Israel
Finally, I would like to recall that during the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust, the terrorists committed sexual assaults against both women and men. In addition to Hamas’s torture and murder of women, the terrorists kidnapped young women to use as sex slaves. This was a repeat of what happened with ISIS in Iraq.
Repeating its attitude back then, the Spanish far-left did not condemn the Hamas terrorist attack, and has also been dedicating itself to demonizing the attacked country, Israel, falsely accusing it of "genocide", the same accusation that the far left refused to make against ISIS after the wave of atrocities committed by these terrorists in Iraq. In January of this year, communist minister Sira Rego attended a march called in Madrid by PFLP terrorists, who supported Hamas's attack on Israel.
