The president of the USA lied to a journalist about the position of the bishops

A US bishop denounces that Biden is a “fake” Catholic for his support for abortion

The US president's support for abortion, at the same time that he declares himself "Catholic", is something that some bishops of that country have been denouncing.

Biden lies about the position of the bishops and the Pope against abortion

This week a new controversy has been unleashed around this issue. This Monday, Joe Biden lied to a Catholic reporter by claiming that the bishops do not reject publicly funded abortion. This is a particularly crude lie, since the Catholic Church strongly rejects the murder of unborn children. When the Catholic reporter replied to Biden that this was not the position of the bishops, the US president appealed to Pope Francis, as if he supported abortion. Quite the contrary, Francis has described abortion as "a murder" and has pointed out that the unborn baby "is a human life" and "this human life must be respected".

A Texas bishop denounces "Biden's fake Catholicism"

Biden's lies to justify the murder of unborn children, even misrepresenting what the Pope says about it, have caused scandal among Catholics in the United States . Criticism of the president has come from the church leadership itself. Joseph Strickland, Bishop of Tyler, Texas, yesterday denounced "Biden's fake Catholicism". Monsignor Strickland added: "Mr Biden can’t be allowed to twist the words of Pope Francis in this way. I implore the Vatican press office to emphatically clarify that Pope Francis rightly calls abortion murder."

"President Biden is aggressively denying his Catholic faith"

In November 2021, the Bishop of Tyler had already claimed to Biden that "stop spending our tax dollars to fund abortions around the world. You claim to be Catholic but you obviously are ignoring the basic teachings of the Catholic faith. Please make a decision to either follow Catholic teaching or stop claiming to be Catholic." On January 23 of this year, in response to a tweet by Biden calling abortion a "right", Strickland noted: "Whatever he claims President Biden is aggressively denying his Catholic faith and denying the value of the life of an unborn child. Viciously murdering innocent children is not healthcare & abortion devastates women. We must care for them both."

The Democratic Party's support for the most radical pro-abortion theses

It must be remembered that the Democratic Party has been supporting the most radical abortion policies, including infanticide of unborn children who survive abortion, a crime that senators of that party shielded themselves in 2019 against an initiative by the Republican Party to prohibit these monstrous practices. Several states governed by the Democratic Party are now promoting the legalization of abortion right up to the moment of birth, including New York, Minnesota, Vermont and Illinois.

The Democratic Party also supported slavery and racial segregation.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that this party has campaigned against human dignity: in the 19th century, the Democratic Party was the great defender of slavery and well into the 20th century also defended racial segregation, until John F. Kennedy decided to depart from that line of his own party. Let's remember that the first black US senator, first black US congressman, and first black US governor were Republicans (Hiram Rhodes Revels, Joseph Hayne Rainey, and Oscar James Dunn, respectively), and in response to that, the Democratic Party qualified disparaging the Republican Party as the party of blacks in their propaganda sheets.
