“I regret that Feijóo has decided to give up, defrauding his voters”

Outrage in Vox over Feijóo's concessions to Sánchez: “it is much more than a mistake”

The result of today's meeting between Pedro Sánchez and Alberto Núñez Feijóo has caused outrage in the third most voted party in Spain.

Abascal: “I regret that Feijóo has decided to give up, defrauding his voters”

After the meeting between the leaders of the Popular Party (PP) and the Socialist Party (PSOE), and before the concessions made by Feijóo in the midst of the socialist attack on the rule of law (and without Sánchez agree to stop that attack), the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal published a message this afternoon, in which he makes his disagreement very clear.

"I regret that Feijóo has decided to give up, defrauding his voters, and disregarding the popular indignation in the street," Abascal commented. "Going to Sánchez to offer him more pacts in the middle of his coup against the Nation is much more than a mistake", added the leader of Vox.

“Only VOX remains against the coup”

Furthermore, Abascal has commented on the fact that Feijóo and Sánchez have agreed to submit the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and the Organic Law of the Judiciary (LOPJ) to the mediation of the European Commission: "The idea of proposing a foreign mediator will serve Sánchez (that is why he has accepted it) to legitimize his coup and the amnesty". Given this, Abascal has concluded: "Only VOX remains against the coup."

Abascal warned two days before that Feijóo would agree on the CGPJ with Sánchez

This Wednesday, after learning of Feijóo's decision to attend that meeting with Sánchez, Abascal had acknowledged that Vox felt "concerned about the lack of decision when exercising opposition against a government that has brought an unconstitutional amnesty law, against a government that agrees with Bildu", a party that refuses to condemn ETA's terrorism, "and therefore against a government with which it does not You can sit down. I think it is a big mistake by Feijóo that the General Council of the Judiciary will end up agreeing, as the presidency of the commissions has been shared in this Parliament with the Socialist Party. A big mistake". Abascal's words have turned out to be prophetic.
