Irresponsible statement by Minister Albares in line with that hoax

The government of Pedro Sánchez trusts the Hamas hoax and endangers the Jews of Spain

The Hamas hoax accusing Israel of the fall of an Islamic Jihad rocket has received a boost today from the Spanish government.

Sánchez's Foreign Minister accepts the Hamas hoax

This morning, at 6:57 CET, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, has published a message on Twitter speaking of an "attack" to refer to that hospital in Gaza and stating: "Hospitals can never be a target." These statements are in line with the hoax released yesterday by Hamas, falsely accusing Israel of what actually was caused by the failed rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad terrorist group.

As we already saw here, last night Israel denied this Hamas hoax, but Albares has preferred to accept the Palestinian terrorist group's version as good in his message this morning. A message that the minister repeated in English at 12:42 CET, when all kinds of evidence was already circulating online and in the media, revealing the falsity of Hamas' version. This is an irresponsible statement by the head of Spanish diplomacy that contributes to inflaming the Muslim community and all based on a lie spread by a terrorist organization.

Minister Belarra asks to break diplomatic relations with Israel

These statements by Albares, who is part of the socialist half of the government, have served as a breath of oxygen for the communist half of the cabinet. Minister Ione Belarra, from Podemos, who spread the Hamas hoax last night ( at this time it still has not been rectified), this morning he asked "to suspend diplomatic relations with the State of Israel" and impose economic sanctions against that country. That is, asks against Israel the measures that it did not request against Russia for the invasion of Ukraine, something that is explained by the fact that Podemos is one of the most pro-Russian parties in Spain and Hamas is an ally of the Putin regime.

A hostility towards Israel that can only be explained by antisemitism

At this point, it is obvious that Podemos's position on this issue is not motivated by the defense of the Palestinians, nor by the defense of peace and human rights. They care about the Palestinians as little as the Ukrainians, and their idea of human rights has already been evident with their support for dictatorships like Cuba and Venezuela. According to a report published in April, Podemos is the Spanish party most hostile to Israel, closely followed by its partners, the communists of Izquierda Unida. It is a hostility that we do not exhibit even with the worst dictatorships (with some of them, in fact, they exhibit clear sympathy). Podemos is a clear example of far-left antisemitism, an antisemitism that moves it to criminalize the only Jewish State just a few days after suffering the worst terrorist attack in its history.

The Israeli Embassy has already warned of the danger for the Jewish community

This Monday, the Israeli Embassy in Spain protested the attitude of ministers of Pedro Sánchez's government, denouncing that "certain elements within the Spanish government have chosen to align themselves with this ISIS-type terrorism." In its statement, the Israeli Embassy also warned that the statements of these ministers "endanger the security of the Jewish communities of Spain, exposing them to the risk of a greater number of incidents and attacks anti-Semites". Seeing the antisemitic escalation of the Sánchez government, it is clear that the Israeli Embassy was right in everything it stated in that statement.
