Communism is a factory of cynics who try to give us moral lessons while supporting all kinds of criminals.
Communists attack a Spanish flag because the extreme right also uses it
Yesterday we saw a new example of this in Spain. The extreme left media pointed out a Police station for displaying inside a flag with the Cross of Burgundy, the longest-lived of all the flags of Spain, used today in their flags by the Army, the Marine Infantry, the Royal Guard and the Civil Guard. This inquisitorial campaign of the far-left against the Police is based on the fact that the extreme right also uses that flag. The position of the ultra-left is based on a principle as absurd as criticizing the Flag of Spain because it is also used by the extreme right.
The totalitarian flag used by communists
Following the campaign of the extreme left media, yesterday the communists of Sumar demanded measures from the government for the use of that Flag by the Police. The person chosen to make this demand was none other than Enrique Santiago, general secretary of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), a party that uses the flag with the hammer and sickle, the symbol of a totalitarian movement that has sown the world with dictatorships and has killed more than 100 million people.
Making a display of impudence, Enrique de Santiago has described the Cross of Burgundy as "a symbol of hate" and has linked it to "racist and intolerant" ideologies, stating that "this flag is currently related to far-right symbology, since it is used by far-right groups." This comes from a guy whose party uses flags with the hammer and sickle, the biggest hate symbol of the 20th century along with the nazi swastika. A symbol of hate to which Correos de España, a company controlled by the coalition government of socialists and communists, dedicated an official stamp, causing scandal inside and outside our borders.
Communists use a flag established by a terrorist group
In addition to the communist flag, we could talk about another flag that the extreme left likes very much, and in particular the PCE and Sumar. The so-called "Palestinian flag" was established in 1964 by the PLO, when it was a terrorist organization, a criminal activity that the PLO did not abandon until 1973. Today, that flag represents some Palestinian territories whose authorities exhibit clear antisemitism, something especially evident in Gaza, where Jews had to leave their homes due to the fanaticism of Hamas, but also in the West Bank, controlled by the PLO.
The use of that Palestinian flag by terrorist groups
The Palestinian flag has been used by terrorists from Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the PFLP, among other criminal groups. It just so happens that the PCE has public links with the PFLP, despite that group appearing on the European Union's list of terrorist organizations. A few weeks ago, a communist minister, a member of the PCE, went to a march organized by that terrorist group, a march that was authorized by the Sánchez government, in a new exhibition of their favors to terrorists.
A flag that is being used to promote anti-Semitism
Today, the Palestinian flag is also used by anti-Semitic groups in many countries, which display this hate symbol to promote hatred of Jews, crudely disguised as "anti-Zionism", the term used by the extreme left to disguise their anti-Semitism. In recent months, that flag has been used by supporters of Palestinian terrorism to justify the atrocious anti-Jewish pogrom of October 7, perpetrated by Hamas, in the largest massacre suffered by the Jewish people since the Holocaust perpetrated by the nazis.
If Sumar and the rest of the Spanish extreme left want to denounce symbols of racism, hatred and intolerance, they should start by denouncing the flags they use, flags that demonstrate a strange fondness for different dictators, terrorist groups, antisemitic and intolerant fanatics who dream of a Middle East without Jews and a world subjected to communist oppression. Your flags really look disgusting.
