Meanwhile, the president of the PP avoids all photos with the leaders of Vox

Feijóo's caress to Irene Montero, a summary of the incomprehensible policy of the PP

This Thursday, the first session of the new legislature in the Congress of Deputies left us with a truly unusual image.

The PP excludes Vox from the Congress Table: the fable of the scorpion and the frog again
The fable of the bigmouth scorpion that told the frog that it would kill it crossing the river

Affectionate gesture of Feijóo with the communist Irene Montero

The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, got up from his seat and went down to the blue bench, where the government sits, and there he affectionately greeted the communist Irene Montero, acting Minister of Equality, shaking hands and caressing her shoulder.

In addition, he gave two kisses to Ione Belarra, acting Minister of Social Rights and member of Podemos, like Montero. It happened a few moments before Pedro Sánchez entered the chamber. The Efe agency has released several photos of the moment.

You can see that moment in this video starting at point 56:39, I have inserted it so that it starts playing at that moment:

As can be seen in the video, there was a photographer nearby and another one has approached to immortalize the moment. The room was full of photojournalists, so Feijóo knew that this was going to be news.

The minister responsible for criminal reductions to more than 1,000 rapists

Let us remember that Irene Montero was primarily responsible for a law that ha caused more than 1,000 sentence reductions for rapists and pedophiles, according to official data from the General Council of the Judiciary.

Both Montero and Belarra justified attacks against members of Vox

Let us also remember that both Montero and Belarra justified the attacks against members of Vox two years ago in Vallecas, Madrid, being the first time that members of a government justified violence against members of a party of the opposition in Spain since the Second Republic.

Meanwhile Feijóo avoids all photos with the leaders of Vox

Paradoxically, Feijóo has spent months avoiding all photos with Santiago Abascal and other Vox leaders, a party that voted against this reduction in penalties for rapists and that he has never justified any type of violence against his political rivals, unlike the ministers of Podemos.

A tendency to look down on allies and show appreciation for enemies

Those images from yesterday are a summary of the incomprehensible policy of the PP: gestures of affection towards the enemies of Liberty and contempt for the party that has done the most to defend constitutional Spain during the last legislature, achieving, among other things, qthat the Constitutional Court handed down a sentence against the government of Pedro Sánchez for violating fundamental rights.

That photo was also produced the same day that the PP left Vox out of the Congress Table, in an unusual maneuver with which the The fourth most voted party, the communists of Sumar, will have two representatives while Vox, with the most votes and seats, will have none. And all this, in addition, while Feijóo needs the support of Vox for his investiture, already counting on the frontal rejection of Podemos and Sumar.

Someday someone will have to explain why this tendency of the PP to despise its allies and show appreciation for its worst enemies is due, because I don't think many PP leaders, affiliates and voters understand gestures like the yesterday, by a Feijóo who treats his Vox partners as pests (and I say partners because they govern together in several autonomous communities and cities). Once again, what it seems is that Feijóo allows himself to dictate his gestures from the ideological framework of the left, a framework for which a communist who has benefited more than a thousand rapists is an adorable person, whereas a democratic and conservative party is something like the devil.
